Tractors and new beginnings

We spent a lovely weekend staying with friends in Cambridge luckily for our son they have access to the quarry and farm where there was lots of diggers and tractors so he was very excited, later in the evening after dinner we played for 4 and a half hours on the Wii (yes 4 and a half hours and 5 bottles of later) it was time for bed I woke up the next morning aching like I have never ached before! Sunday was a lazy day visiting the farm and I took this picture of little one in the snowdrops before headed back for a sunday roast.

Yesterday was little one's first day at pre school and I have to say it went really well, I do feel very sad that he is growing up so quickly when I came to pick him up his face was a picture when he saw me waiting for him and something I shall never forget.

Starting up

After reading various blogs for a while I have now taken the plunge and started one myself. I have been sewing for a while now it started off with a regular class on a saturday and then I became totally hooked and wanted to make everything! I am most contented sitting looking and my 'growing' fabric stash and thinking what to make next, this is when I am not being wife, mother etc etc.

I thought I would start by posting a couple of toys I made for my sister in law's new baby (my 2 and a half year old posing proudly)
